Heart-centered business coaching and healing with Mark Silver.
My clients tend to be at a turning point in their business. Maybe it’s a wall or a ceiling that they are hitting around working too hard, or needing a team. Long-term patterns that haven’t shifted despite all they’ve tried. Maybe there’s a need for a big shift in revenue models. Maybe they are working to create a legacy, training others to do what they do.
Maybe they just want more fun and ease and profit while doing the work they love. Or maybe they need to be way deeper in their spiritual work, bringing it out more explicitly.
Maybe it’s several of the above.
As you begin to read through this page, I’ll let you know that although I love working with clients, I can only handle a very few.
That said, if you’re a perfect fit and I have an opening, I’d love to support you.
Clients who are successful working with me tend to have these four things in common:
1
You are past the start-up phase of your business.
Successful clients are generally ‘over the hump.’ Meaning you’ve been in business for at least a couple of years, sometimes a very long time, and have confidence in what you do. This doesn’t mean you don’t have struggles or financial goals or needs, but it’s not your first year being self-employed.
2
You are beyond bare survival level.
Because much of the work we would do would be looking at higher level strategy, and long-term business growth, you need to be able to focus on the future. When someone is in survival, it’s impossible, and inappropriate, to focus on long-term business building. We can get results quickly, and we can pay attention to urgent needs, but you need to be above hand-to-mouth.
Note: If you are still in the start-up phase or in survival, you probably need certain foundational pieces put in place, and you will learn and apply them much more quickly in a group situation. Check out the Learning Community.
3
You have a spiritual commitment in your life.
Making a quantum leap requires transformation, and transformation requires surrender- which is ultimately a spiritual process, no matter how many practical steps are involved in it. Successful clients are comfortable and engaged with spiritual practice on some level- and willing to engage more with it.
4
You have something significant you’re up to.
I’m not really moved by all the hype around “empire building.” But, your business could be significantly better. Or bigger. Or easier. It could have significantly more impact in terms of the number of people, or the kinds of people you want to work with. Something significant to you that you want to accomplish.
If you find that your business has these four elements to it, I can help you jump forward.
After more than twenty years of working with hundreds of clients personally, and thousands of businesses that Heart of Business has supported, I have grounded experience that helps me quickly get to the heart of what’s needed, and help you move forward, ethically, powerfully, beautifully.
A little about me.
I’m Mark Silver, M.Div. I’m the founder of and leader for the team at Heart of Business, Inc. I’m also the author of Heart-Centered Business: Healing from toxic business culture so your small business can thrive.
I have an extensive history with small business, activism, and non-profit work, as well as growing up in a family business. Since 1999 I’ve personally worked with hundreds and hundreds of businesses, and Heart of Business as a company has worked with more than 4500. I’ve created a developmental model of business growth, as well as the many learning modules that help business owners implement the different elements of that model.
Speaking of spirituality, I’m a designated Master Teacher in my Sufi lineage and have earned my Masters of Divinity. I bring an integration of nitty-gritty business skills, team leadership and spiritual healing and insight that has high integrity and no B.S.
I love what I do, and I see the work of making business healthy and divinely-inspired to be a huge part of the healing and transformation that our world needs right now.
That all sounds pretty serious. 🙂 Hah! I also have twin boys who keep me running, love to do woodworking because I have a deep passion for things that are both beautiful and useful, love my wife Holly, and our life on 15 acres in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, USA, and not taking life too seriously, as serious as it may be at times.
If you’re ready to have your business start to feel a lot more fun, healthy, heart-inspired and expansive, here’s how I work with folks.
Here’s how I like to work with clients.
For you to get the results you want takes more than just an individual session here or there. After working with hundreds of clients, I’m wanting to save you the trouble of having to piece it all together.
Ordinary engagement: 12 sessions over 6 month initial commitment.
The work takes time and attention, and so we give it that. I’ll let you know that most clients end up working with me for between one and three years. Some longer.
I’m not just a coach, or just a healer, or just a consultant. Of the many skills and experiences I have, I bring what’s needed in any particular session. Sometimes I’ll support you in your own internal knowing, sometimes I’ll just tell you what I think will work and how to do it.
Others have told me I have these gifts:
- A gentle presence that leaves the client on fire to get things done.
- “You’re the O.G. of ethical business.” (which admittedly made me laugh…)
- From a messy description, being able to quickly pinpoint essential marketing messages.
- Helping create teaching curricula that gives the minimum while being powerful.
- Integrating the understanding of systemic oppression, and helping to remedy the painful dysfunction of capitalism into business.
- Sharp editing skills for written content, and powerful feedback on video presentations.
- Helping those who are spiritually shy to make the deep work way more explicit without scaring clients, even corporate clients, off.
- Finding and developing business models that work to your strengths, so you can be more profitable without doing things you hate.
- Supporting strong hiring and team leadership for small or tiny teams.
And all of that, in the context of listening deeply to your own truth, in your heart, helping you find a space of surrender so you can truly be led by guidance.
Email Support and Session Recordings
All the usual- recordings of sessions, access to me by email between sessions, access to Heart of Business resources, including templates, virtual retreats, teachings, etc.
Every session ends with a clear assignment so you know what your next steps are.
The Cost
I want to talk to you and find out more about your business and what’s possible. I’m open to finding a heart-centered price that feels good to both of us. The range runs from $7200 up to $12000 total for six months, which can be paid in one payment, or split up into six monthly payments ($1150-$2000/month).
We accept Visa/MC/Amex/PayPal. This assumes that I will be working one-on-one with one person: the business owner or primary decision-maker. For partnerships or organizations where more than one person needs support, let’s talk and find out what structure is needed.
Two alternatives to long term work
For some folks, the six month engagement isn’t what’s needed. Here are two alternatives, and I’m open to discussing other creative arrangements.
First Alternative- A Business Assessment (or one-issue session)
I can give you an in-depth business assessment. You send me all the info about your business that you can, I have a list I ask you to send me, I review it, then we spend an hour on a call doing an overall assessment of your business model, marketing, structure and strategy, including spiritual/energetic components. At the end you’ll have recommendations on how to move forward.
This can also be used to work in more detail, with much more of a microscope on a single issue in your business, such as looking more closely at sales process, or a launch of a program, or starting/expanding a team.
The cost is $750-1250 for this session.
My time with Mark helped me to break down larger goals into doable actionable steps. I’m certain that the cost of the assessment will return to my business ten-fold in a relatively short amount of time.

Second Alternative- Personal intensive
For many leaders ongoing work may not be exactly what you need. You might be at a particular point where it feels like a breakthrough is just… there… Some combination of a spiritual breakthrough, business model/strategy insight, and personal evolutionary jump just feels like it’s waiting, like a ripe peach you can’t quite reach.
Sounds like an intensive. We can conduct this in person here in central Pennsylvania (outside Harrisburg), or virtually. They tend to be over one to two days, and include an initial session before you arrive, and a follow-up session to support the integration. The cost for these is also priced from the heart. You would be responsible for your own travel and accommodations.
If you do decide to come to central Pennsylvania, it’s truly beautiful country. We live on 15 acres, ten of which are wooded, and provide ample room private walks and contemplation during the day.
Let’s talk!
The best way to start is to give me an overview of your business. Fill out the form below, and we’ll set up a time to talk on the phone.
And, by the way, if you like reading testimonials from other folks, scroll beneath the form right here, and there are plenty.
with gratitude,
Mark
