It’s Friday morning- and today my intention is to ask folks who are in the live seminar to come here and share their experiences and what they’re learning.
I have two intentions: one is to have you as a reader benefit from any insights they share.
The second is that if you’ve been considering getting the home study version of the seminar, that hearing about what people are learning might inspire you to go ahead and get it. Especially since we’re offering a $100-during-the-live-seminar-week discount through this coming Monday, March 29.
It’s 6am now, and I’ll be seeing the participants in the next few hours. So hopefully you’ll start seeing some comments popping up over the course of the day.
And, of course, if you’ve taken the course in previous years or have the homestudy version already, please share your experiences, too.

I am a HUGE advocate for the home study version of the Sacred Moment. I love these teachings… mostly because I hate “sales.”
This program not only helped me get deeply in touch with the people I want to serve, but it helped me get deeply in touch with myself.
I was able to dig deeply into issues I had around selling, money, and making money. It helped shed light on why I had certain beliefs and helped me see how those beliefs were holding me back.
Because of this class, I’m able to have deeply meaningful conversations with the people I want to be in service to, I’ve been able to shed my insecurities and really be available to the people who need me. I’ve made deep connections with my audience, and my business is thriving.

I’m here at the live seminar right now and I’m in awe as participants share not only their huge “ah-ha”s but also sparkle with even more excitement for their businesses, not just what they’re gifted at in their business (coaching, healing, etc) but also their new, sudden, or never-before-experienced enthusiasm for serving their clients even more graciously (which we all want) AND peace of mind over the money, offer, charging, pricing aspect. Not to mention, that I’ve been hearing many, many new inspired and creative ideas about many other business aspects from accounting, to web design, to technology to taxes that are sure to make those tasks take on new meaning and even a level of enjoyment we had not imagined before.
Yes, Mark is inspiring us all to embrace a huge paradigm shift in relationship to what we think, what we feel and who we are around money, clients, sales, service…all the things around which most of us have an “on-again-off-again” experience.
I have great respect for Mark as a presenter. His intention for delivering this information in a way that each and every person can connect to in a way that works for him/her shows great love and graciousness that, as a participant, I can see and feel shining through every detail.
Judy and Kate are amazing! What a trio. We (the participants) are truly blessed to be held and supported so we an all just relax and really learn.
The participants are wonderful. For those of you listening to the course, I have to believe the energy of the group will come shining through for you, as well.
There are many layers to this teaching. I’m glad I have notes, a workbook and good friends to continue work/playing with when I leave. For those of you taking the course at home, I recommend getting involved in the Oasis, so you can meet some new friends to support you when the information may stir things up. Mark’s input there too, in invaluable.
I’ve purchased Mark’s seminar courses in the past and they’re, each and every one, a great value. If I used them as if I was there, imagining myself in the class I’m listening to at the time, I found them very useful to me in my business. And I have to say, being here live is even better. So if you have the chance, come to Portland. And if you can’t, let Portland and Heart of Business come to you. The energy of Mark and the class shine through in his recorded courses.
Finally I want to say that in terms of a seminar, Mark has a quality as a teacher I greatly appreciate. He keeps us all on track. The seminar never wheels off on a tangent. This seminar is a carefully crafted teaching that has a concrete end in mind; a relationship between you as business owner who has to fulfill your responsibilities and your client who comes to you for some form of help. Pricing, crafting an offer, serving our clients; I think I can safely say if you’re on this site you’d like to feel good about how you complete those tasks, how the experience feels for you and for your client. Trust Mark to help put some solid tools in your hands that come from integrity and love, and help you give and receive nourishment for yourself, your business, and your clients as well.
Thanks Mark (Kate and Judy too)!

Is this seminar any good? Is Paris a city! The seminar is great. I use what I learnt in the seminar all the time: not only in selling (in a way that doesn’t FEEL like selling) but in discussions that aren’t ostensibly sales discussions.
Here’s what makes the seminar great:
1) Mark lives his teachings. I learnt as much observing how he gave the seminar/listened and answered questions / managed difficult moments, as I did from the content of the sessions themselves; 2) you practice – while I was praticing sales with another participant the magic happened and I GOT that there was a method for being absolutely true to myself, and still make a sale in a way that the client feels grateful. Nothing salesy, pushy, canned about it. 3) the other people – everyone’s lovely. I came from a corporate environment in Europe, not sure how I would fit in with a group of spiritually inclined people in Oregon. No worries, it was lovely. And I kept connecting with people so deeply, in a way I am not used to, that I would get really tired. In a happy and moved and meaningful way.
So I would say that for me the sacred moment seminar took me from totally uncomfortable at coming anywhere near to closing, to finding the discussion welcome and closing just the clarity that ensures you and the potential client are aligned.
Just do it. It’s fun, you learn loads, Mark’s wonderful, and the whole experience is galvanizing and energizing.

I am midway through the live seminar and I am feeling so moved. Marks gentle nudging and humble grace is opening me up to receiving money in a non-hokey, grounded (literally), and sweet new, old, old, way….. I am feeling an inner restoration from a lifetime of feeling unworthy of, and blocked from, receiving abundance and support. Wow!

I was unable to get to the live seminar and I’m only half way through the home study book but I can already say that it’s completely changed my attitude regarding how I design and price my services.
What’s previously felt uncomfortable and like a huge unknown in how to do it “right” (ie. compare and price according to your competitors, price according to perceived value, price based on time/resources etc.) – is now crystal clear and feels good.
I’m going to stop writing so I can continue on with the course 🙂
Thank you Heart of Business. Than you Mark.
We have worked through the home study course twice now at our studio, and the difference is profound.
Our practitioners are now not only willing to tend to their clients’ scheduling and payment needs, but actually see it as part of their own practice-building.
It is hard for me to describe what has been made possible by the Sacred Moment course. Each chapter re-creates the client/practitioner relationship as an opportunity to practice being present and open-hearted with the people we are intending to serve.
What can I say about this seminar? I’ve been working with HoB materials for a while now, maybe 18 months or so. I’ve read every product, was/am an intern, have been in personal conversation with Mark and Kate and now am a member of the Moneyflow course.
This seminar is rocking my world.
Let me be frank – I’m not having a lot of the heartful, tearful breakthroughs of some of my companions in the course. I’m so full of compassionate witnessing for those that are, let me be clear. But what I’m getting is razor sharp clarity on the places where I need to grow and stretch, I’m getting real world details about how I can make my business better, and I’m making beautiful real time connections with people I hope to know for many years to come. While the latter may be impossible to get without the in-person component : the material alone would be well worth the price of admission.
I feel like I’m still not being clear. Wait, let me get into Remembrance here…
If you’re struggling, like I have been, to translate what you love/what you know/what you are trained to do into something that people will buy…. if you’ve struggled to understand how to go from heart-to-heart connection with your potential client to “and so this is going to cost….”, if you’ve sometimes wondered if you can be in integrity and charge for your services at all….
This course is for you. This material is for you. Go for it!

This course is amazing. I could say so much, but rather than overwhelm you with words I’ll simply say this:
Sometimes when I’m working with a client, I feel like I’ve been given the most precious gift in the whole world: the privilege of walking alongside them as they discover their own path.
Now I know how to bring that same presence and joy of discovery into my conversations with potential clients, in a way that serves and honors them and me both.
I feel certain that, with enough practice, those icky / scary sales conversations can be a thing of the past. Entirely.
Thank you so much, Mark and Heart of Business!
Just finished the live 2-day seminar….with the cd’s & transcripts, the homestudy can be your “next best thing” to being here in person.
The right price exercise is indeed powerful….Even more so for me was the “connection” exercise……Do take the time to fully experience the “bow.” It helped me embody a sense of “relaxing” into a state of “being of service” while also truly honoring my client’s own journey and path.
Thank you so much Mark, Kate, Judy and all my fellow travelers on this wonderful learning journey.
One thing that sticks out for me in this seminar is how completely comfortable I feel with this group of people. Not once during this seminar have I felt put on the spot or unsupported in what I was thinking or feeling at the time. I’m pretty prone to be more introverted and in my head. I’ve found that the group exercises are so important to understanding where you are in business and what you still have to work out. It inspires me to get together with other Moneyflow Portlander’s to make this marketing work a regular gig.
It’s great to see when someone really gets a concept that they’ve been struggling with. And it’s great to come to an understanding of what I’ve been struggling with in business. There’s not a better group of people to feel vulnerable with. Thanks to Mark for creating the course and thanks to everyone else for coming and being willing to be honest with yourselves and us. I’m having a great time marketing, which I never thought I would say.
I just finished the 2-day live seminar — my first in-person with Mark & Co after just about 8 weeks or so of working on my own with Unveiling the Heart of Your Business and the Heart-Centered Website books.
I had incredibly high standards and expectations. Before lunch on the first day of the seminar I found my eyes filling with tears at the discovery that my hopes were not only already met but truly exceeded. This continued to be the case throughout the two days, concluding with a lovely and loving dinner with my new friends (including Mark — who was both accessible and personally supportive in a way I hadn’t even thought to expect or want).
You thought I was a raving fan before? I’m verging on lunacy at this point.
I’m so enthusiastic about this seminar I’m on the verge of committing incoherency, so I’m going to follow the lead of my esteemed colleagues here and drop into Remembrance first…
So. A brief summary now with possible updates later.
I am now clear that my past failures to communicate the true value of my work to potential clients (a) has no bearing on the true value of my work with clients, and (b) is a completely resolvable issue.
Mark, you have given me simple, grounded, (dare I say it?) heart-centered tools and guidelines to follow. I, who hate, despise and loathe all forms of sales, am now looking forward to these conversations! I can’t wait!!
In just the few “practice” conversations I’ve had with potential clients during and since the workshop, I can feel and see in their responses that I am truly on my way to stepping *out* of the way and letting them come and find me and my offerings.
I am so deeply touched by your presence, and by the presence and support and contributions of Kate, Judie and all the amazing participants.
This seminar was my trial run. I was (not so secretly) testing all of you and am returning home with all I’d hoped for and more.
Next steps: The Oasis! And hopefully the Momentum Course in the Fall. And any other offerings I can take advantage of.
I am so happy to have been found and recognized as a member of this tribe.
If you have any desire to live soulfully – with Spirit, however you experience it, at the center of your life – gift yourself the gifts of this seminar/homestudy course.
I spent this past weekend at the live The Sacred Moment seminar and I am so excited to integrate this experience and my learnings into my business. Yes, I feel way more connected to my soul and the Divine than I have in a long time – I’m loving that. AND, I feel way more prepared to have a fabulous sales conversation with my next potential client (and all the others after that.)
The course is both blissfully spiritual and so practical. The tools are simple yet powerful – and easy to use on my own.
I highly recommend this program (in person and homestudy), so much so that I wrote a whole blog post about it on my own blog. If you are curious about the specific nuggets I treasure from this program, you can read about them there (my name on this comment is linked to it.)
Seriously – just go get the program. You’ll be so so so happy you did.
Wow. I was one of the fortunate participants of the Sacred Moment seminar that unfolded here in Portland over the past few days, and I do mean fortunate. By way of sharing my gratitude with Mark, Kate, and Judy, would it be alright if I tell you, in a few words, why the three days felt like such a gift? It might be a wee bit of a challenge because the teachings impacted me pretty deeply and it often takes me a while to integrate such things, but I’d like to give it a go.
Let’s see here… if I try and put a fine point on it I think the greatest gift I received is the knowing, I mean the surety in my Soul, that the world needs me to offer my work, and my Jewel through it, and that it’s okay, right in fact, for me to make a living doing that. I walked away from the Sacred Moment with a new-found sense of how sales, yes sales, can be healing. And you don’t often see “sales” and “healing” in the same sentence, do you?
… Because when people are in need and they discover help, when they discover the right support, and then they have the opportunity to enter into an exchange that feels clean, that feels clear and full of integrity… well, that’s just such a gift and it’s something our world needs a lot of right now. And it’s something I feel a lot of gratitude to have experienced over the past three days, too, because I want to be able to offer my work to those who need it, and then feel just as good about making my living doing it.
At the seminar we spoke briefly about how Mark originally came up with the name “Sacred Moment.” If I were to suggest other names that might describe the seminar that I took, I might come up with little phrases like “How Sales Can Be Healing,” “Soulful Sales,” and “Why the World Needs You to Be Successful.” Something inside me feels radically different after the seminar, and I walked away with some really solid nuts n’ bolts for navigating each step of the sales journey, and for making those steps healing in and of themselves.
Oh, and I made some really sweet new friends and got to be with Mark, Kate, and Judy for three days, too. To receive their friendship and witness their strength and integrity, in short, to see them beautifully model the teachings they were sharing.
I don’t think I could have asked for any more and, if selling what you do is something that makes you stumble, something that makes you want to go hide in a closet or ties your tongue up in knots, then I’d invite you to jump into these teachings and see what kind of healing might be possible for you, too.
I’m just back in NY after the Sacred Moment Seminar and even though I’m really tired and jet lagged I had to get to this post and express my gratitude. I just read everyone else’s comments. They all articulated the experience so well, I’m going to take the easy route with a resounding, “DITTO!!”
The teachings really resonate and the exercises really WORK.
I’m different than I was before these three days. I’ve got real tools, practices and understandings that I can utilize (want to utilize) to feel and operate differently than my usual when it comes to taking care of my business.
IT FEELS SO GOOD!!!!
Thank you Mark, Kate and Judy… and all my fellow SM participants! You rock!
🙂
Jeanne
I’m so grateful for all that every one of you has shared- really humbled by it. If anyone else cares to add, please do. I’m glad folks get to hear how this works.
