Wisdom From Elsewhere

This past weekend I boarded a train, headed north to Seattle, then walked onto the Bainbridge Ferry for a two day retreat with my mastermind group, including Jennifer Louden, Molly Gordon, Eric Klein, Michael Bungay-Stanier and Michele Lisenbury-Christensen. They’ve been one of the biggest reasons I’ve been able to flourish and grow so much over the last 6-7 years. How long has it been?

We check in nearly daily on a private forum, we talk as a group every two weeks, we often get on the phone individually with each other, and at least once a year we get together for an in person retreat.

It’s been an amazing journey- so many patterns unwound. I’m grateful for their friendship, love and support. And so excited to spend two days laughing!

At about the same time it occurred to me that there have been some wonderful, simply wonderful posts on the blog lately that you might have missed because they don’t go out by email.

Check these four out:

The Real Results of Best-Seller Campaigns, by Todd Sattersten

I was at lunch with my friend Todd Sattersten, who helps business experts create and publish books. He mentioned in passing that making the best-seller list can actually be counter-productive for an author. Interested, I asked further, and the result is this guest post from him.

Avoiding a Drought in 2013, by Jason Stein

Since Jason is an HoB team member, this isn’t technically a guest post. Here’s a quick 2 minutes from one of our star practitioners Jason Stein about avoiding a money drought in your business. These are two of the issues he focuses on when he helps his clients increase their income without trampling their heart.

p.s. Need a Mastermind Group of Your Own?

I created an ebook and audio class on how to create your own mastermind, and it’s included as part of the package with Unveiling the Heart of Your Business.

Unveiling was the first learning product I published, back in 2005, and it’s still relevant and powerful- every month more entrepreneurs dive deep into the spiritual and practical principals I explain in there, about marketing, about sales, about money. Thousands of heart-centered business owners already have a copy. Maybe it’s time to nourish your heart and the heart of your business?

Why don’t you take a look and see if it’s for you? Unveiling the Heart of Your Business

If you get that book, or any of our products or take any of our classes, you’re eligible for our Alumni Community, where you just may be able to find the perfect heart-centered mastermind buddies of your own.

That doesn’t even include everything else that comes with membership. Check out the Alumni Community.
