Top 5 Heart-Centered Money Tips for 2015

The strange thing about calendars is that there’s more than one. Although we’ve just moved into 2015 according to the Gregorian calendar, the new year for the Jewish calendar, and the Islamic calendar, doesn’t start until the fall. The Hindi new year looks like it starts in late March, and the Chinese new year is in mid-February.

Yes, there is fantastic energy at the beginning of something, and there is a great deal of inspiration in taking advantage of a transition like the New Year to set new intentions.

The other side of that is feeling bad because you think you “missed the moment”, or overwhelming yourself with having expectations that are over the top unrealistic.

It’s okay… there’s always another New Year’s Day just a month or two away. 🙂

Play the long game, this year. Shift your thinking so you take each step with love, and let go of lottery ticket syndrome, the idea that “one big moment/event/win” will change everything.

I enjoyed the heck out of today’s video, from our star practitioner Jason Stein. He is someone who took on video making with real exuberance. He took classes. He practiced so much with a willing heart- I remember one video he shot over and over again. And now look at him! His videos are well-lit, look good, entertaining, engaging, intimate, and I almost always laugh out loud at some point.

Today Jason talks about his 5 top money tips for 2015. And the man is *on* when it comes to money, so listen to him.

How do Jason’s 5 top money tips resonate with your heart? Are you doing any of them? Which one draws you the most?

Let’s discuss them in the comments below!

Looking toward February

For some of us December and end-of-year stuff is just too busy to really figure things out about what’s next. Some of us land in January and realize that yes, January is a fine time to figure out what’s next.

If what’s next for you is getting support in your business, I want to encourage you to step into one of our programs. We have three different levels, depending on where you are and what your budget is.

  1. In start-up, or near start-up? Why don’t you join our Clients and Money program? It’s designed to be affordable while also incredibly effective at helping you get clients and money in the door. And deeply healing, so say our participants.

  1. Doing kinda-okay, but need more? If you were reaching more people, your sorta-kinda client schedule program rosters would be full. So that means Expand Your Reach. Also deeply healing, around being visible, and it will help you “get out there” without hurting your heart or betraying your values.

  1. Ready for personalized, hands-on help? Individual coaching can accelerate you in a way that almost nothing else can, if you’re ready for it. We have five different practitioners, each with his or her own pricing and speciality. See which one you’re drawn to and then have a conversation, no charge, no pressure.

?. Not sure where you are or what you need? Sounds like maybe you need a Readiness Assessment? Fill out our assessment and we’ll be in touch with you personally.

Take the Readiness Assessment.

Every act of business can be an act of love. Trust your heart, and get the help you need.

With love and appreciation,

  1. I love Jason’s videos!

All my rates went up across the board yesterday. It was refreshing to stand in resonant pricing and know my offerings are congruent with my pricing and my spirit. The one I’ve struggled with most in the past was #1, of course – receiving. It’s still a practice, and raising my rates goes a long way toward that. 🙂

My favorite tips was #2 – engaging with your money. So many clients don’t look at the money until after the fact, then scramble when they find it’s “not enough”.

    1. WooHoo @Lisa. I love to hear when people raise their prices. Such a simple and sometimes challenging thing to do that can create oh so much more freedom. Wishing you a prosperous 2015.

  2. Hello,
I really like Mark and listened to him through the Shift network.
I am not impressed with the work “heck” in today’s email from him, and I feel that it has a low frequency.
I also prefer not to be part of Jason’s bedroom scene.
Jason, I think that you are an interesting person and you will get more attention when being professional and operate with a principle of Divine integrity. You may be familiar with David Hawkins’ work and his charts for different levels of calibration.
Mark and Jason, I wish you a Divine success!
    Love and Blessings,
    Agatha

    1. Thanks, Jason, for the fun and informative video. The third point resonated with me. I want to hire help, I need help, and I’ve known this for several years. Raising my prices will help me be able to afford to pay a just wage for good help. Also, I am in Yollana’s group to work on the heart of my business, which should increase my income streams. Scarcity has been my fall back, and I want to move to lightness and freedom in making financial decisions.

    2. Hey Aggie- thanks for your open feedback. We’re pretty informal folks over here, and you may not like our style. That’s okay! I wish you blessings in finding who you resonate with to learn from.

  3. I liked Jason’s video. Made me laugh with the humor throughout the vid. The morning scene was sweet and loving — great example on how to start the day.
This year I’m committed to opening my heart to receive even more, Jason’s #1 suggestion.
    Thank you Heart of Business!

  4. I really enjoyed each and everyone of these tips! The one that impacted me the most was the issue of learning how to be a better receiver- I’ve always been a Party of One and not only is getting old, I can see how it’s gumming up the works everywhere else. Thank you for this gentle and profound reminder. Best wishes to you and yours in 2015!

  5. @Aggie, what I love is there are different flavors for different people. I love being interesting and appreciate your candid feedback all at the same time.

@Kathy – Good on you for taking steps to get into a group and get the support needed. I often say together is better

@Natalie – WooHoo on opening to receive more this year

@Idara Thanks for the well wishes. Party of two or more helps not only grow, it’s just more fun.

  6. Wow, Aggie, I really didn’t enjoy reading your feedback – I could feel my heart closing down just reading it to preserve my sense of safety. Glad I wasn’t on the receiving end!

At the same time, I know that in my life, some real gems of insights have come from getting under the skin of just this kind of feedback, so I know what value it can have.

Mark, my hat off to you for receiving the gift of this feedback with such grace – and standing so groundedly (let me allow myself this word ;-)) in your chosen style.

Jason, I guess receiving includes everything, eh? It makes me think of David Whyte’s poem Everything Is Waiting For You – see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq2NfrNt9EU.

Much love and happy New Year to you, Aggie, to you Mark, to you, Jason – and to everyone at HoB.

  7. Thanks to you all (Mark, Jason, and everyone commenting). I appreciate the openness that is welcome here. At the same time, I can feel that the difference of opinion stated so openly has my stomach getting tight. That is a good one for me to explore. The loving openness and loving honesty here gives me that opportunity. Thank you!

The part of the video that speaks to me most is the one about Receiving. Having spent most of my life as a “do-er” and a “care-taker,” this is a good one for me. Recently, I discovered that giving in to my *craving* to fix and care-take is at least as selfish as doing something that I want to do just because I want to do it. Wow! So I commit to reflecting more on receiving, and inviting that into my life.

My thanks to everyone for the courage to speak your truth; it has helped me see mine. Many blessings to each of you for the fulfillment of the deep longings in your heart!

  8. Love the video!!! The commentary made me want to see it even more. #1 receive—yep, that is the key. In fact—in my opinion—-nailing #1 is vital. Took me awhile, but with #1 happening, 2015 is the year for BoomerWomanBucketList!! HOB rocks!! Way to go Mark, for bringing on your great team!!!

  9. Love this video! I like all of the points but especially liked number 2. It is so important to look at both, especially as small business owners. Our personal finances are so intertwined without our business ones that we must pay attention to both. I also like number 4, you gotta have adventure and this is my big focus for the year.
