As long as I’ve been around marketing online, and that goes back into more than 17 years, marketers have talked about “the funnel.”

But… what if the funnel was wrong? What if the only way people made a funnel work consistently was through manipulation? What if…

Question: Has launching been a stumbling point for you?

A few weeks ago I was getting a lot of questions from friends, colleagues, and clients: how in the heck do you do a “launch”?

Over nearly two decades we’ve launched a huge number of courses, products, individual coaching… you name it. And, I’ve personally helped hundreds of clients with their own launches.

While it’s true that here are some very sophisticated templates and formulas for launching, chances are, if you’ve encountered them or tried to pull them off, you’re probably sick of them. And, most (almost all?) small businesses do not need anything nearly that sophsticated.

There are, however, a few principles you want to know, a few things to watch out for, and you want to know how to trouble-shoot when your launch isn’t going well.

That’s why I just led a live class in our Community, for our members only, on how to Launch your offers. After viewing that, you can watch a short video each week (or more often if you like), and then a deep dive discussion/coaching session, plus conversations in our private Facebook group.

  1. You are right, the funnel is not necessarily the only way customers come through. The market is large and extremely varied. Thank you for explaining the exceptions to the funnel principle so well!
