More than ten years ago, I met Chris Johnson in one of our programs. She was already successful doing her work, and yet there was something deeper emerging.
I was overjoyed to see the seed that I watched her plant a decade ago, sprout as this beautiful book, The Leadership Pause. I knew I wanted to talk to her about it, because it’s one of those surprising topics. What, an entire book about pausing? Yes. There’s a lot more to it than you would think, and it’s surprisingly powerful.
We had a vulnerable conversation, and I think you’ll get a lot out of it.

Meeting at the Harrisburg Improv Theater: The Soul of Business
Our close friends own and run the Harrisburg Improv Theater, and I was at a performance recently when a surprising thing happened: I ran into someone who lives local to me, who also does spiritually-based business work. And she’s awesome!
Vanessa Codorniu, The Biz Bruja, is an Argentinian American who has brought out her South American spiritual roots and uses them with integrity and power in the realm of business.
I’m honored to be a guest in her current business summit, The Soul of Business Summit: The transformative power of ancestrally rooted visionary business. It runs three days, October 9-12.
I was especially delighted to see how diverse the line-up was for this bilingual (English and Spanish) event, with many folks who are new to me. But even more, I was delighted to see my friend and colleague Sonali Fiske also appearing.
If you’re drawn to events like these, I think you’ll get a lot out of it. I do have an affiliate link, so I share in a percentage of sales of recordings. The event itself is free.

We don’t often promote events like this one. I feel really good about what Vanessa is up to, and the others in her summit look like big hearted people of integrity.
