In our Learning Community, on a group coaching call, someone mentioned that they really wanted to get clients… but they didn’t want to be pushy.
I stopped us, and highlighted this question. What does it mean to be pushy, and what’s the difference between enthusiasm and pushy? Because too often, business owners who are trying to avoid being pushy end up coming across as disengaged, or uninterested, or distant. Which isn’t good, either.
So, I talk about three things that contribute to being perceived as pushy, and what to do instead, so you can still be engaged and have clients come in!
After watching the video, how does that change your approach to selling your offer? Do you feel like you can be enthusiastic and be able to sidestep the pushiness? I’m interested to hear, and if you have any questions.
With gratitude,
Soon! Promise!
The Learning Community opening for new members is still slated for early this month. However, we’re taking extra time to make sure the new website and backend systems really are working solidly before inviting new folks in.
The Business Boost group filled up and beyond. However, there is still a one or maybe two seats in my regular small group coaching, which, honestly, is very similar to the Business Boost group in structure and support.

And, if you have it in you, cross your fingers and say a prayer that everything goes smoothly with the website systems testing!

I love this so much! Tears are flowing… tears of relief. Thank you .
Great insights, Mark! Finding the balance between enthusiasm and pushiness in sales can be tricky, but your approach really clarifies how to stay engaged without overwhelming potential clients. I love the idea that business can be an act of love—it shifts the mindset from ‘selling’ to genuinely connecting and serving. Looking forward to seeing the updates on the Learning Community launch!
