“Content creation” is such a strange way of saying the art of speaking up, of sharing your heart, wisdom and expertise.
It’s important how we say it, and how we think about it, because in a noisy world, where there is already a lot of content, your content and voice still matters, and maybe matters even more.
Let me give you three reasons why I, and others, want to hear what you have to say:
One: We need more wisdom, not less.
If you’re reading this, you are not an AI content farm, churning out drivel. You are someone who cares, with a heart, with wisdom, with experience.
We need you. I need you. In the flow of commentary, discussion, and content that I see every day, when someone speaks with wisdom, with care, with love, with generosity, it touches me. It inspires me. It helps me in measurable ways.
Don’t let the content farms and AI drivel people convince you that what you are carrying is not worth hearing. All of us over here with hearts disagree with them.
Two: We don’t need more big celebrities, we need more connection.
For a very brief span of history over the last century, we created mega-celebrities, where a few dozen people (mostly white, mostly men) monopolized the public attention of millions of people.
No longer. Media is fractured, and more and more we are listening to each other. This is important, this is a part of how we reweave society.
The voices that I love to read or watch tend to have hundreds, maybe a few thousand people in their audience. When I respond or comment, they notice and reply back. We are accessible to each other.
Three: Repetition of wisdom allows it to saturate our hearts.
So what if someone else is saying what you want to say? In fact, I want to boldly state that it’s a good thing if others are saying things similar to what’s in your own heart.
Repetition is good for learning. It’s good for weaving culture and community. It’s good for remembering.
While yes, we are each unique beings in this beautiful, miraculous world, it’s a garbage idea that we each need to only speak what is truly original and unique. It’s garbage… because it’s not possible.
Everything you hear from me someone else is saying something similar. Not only that, everything I share with you I learned it somewhere. That’s true for everything you are carrying as well.
I want a million people, each speaking to a few hundred or a few thousand folks, (many of whom are also doing some of this speaking) talking about weaving love into all the topics, including the topic/area you focus on. I want that woven love to be the culture, not this toxic, murderous mess we find ourselves in.
I hope these three reasons touch you, encourage you to step in, to step out, and to risk being vulnerable and share your heart and wisdom.
An easier way to get started.
An easier way to step in to creating content that matters is to pick one simple, small question that a client asked you or struggled with. If you don’t have clients yet, then think of someone who could be a client.
Then, I want you to tell us four specific things about this situation your client is in.
Thing One: Describe the situation they are in that has them asking that question.
You can also tell us what they had tried that didn’t work.
Describe the story to us, while preserving confidentiality for the client of course. Let us join you there. It’s okay to take two, three, four paragraphs with this.
Thing Two: Tell us the principle, or teaching, or wisdom from your modality, your world, that applies to this situation.
This is what will give your work depth, and it will make it meaningful in an important way. It also takes your work out of the realm of “three simple steps to doing X,” where it does start to sound like everything else.
Instead, you can share a teaching, you can share how it has impacted your life, why it’s important. You can help us taste this teaching.
Thing Three: Explain/show how the client applied the teaching to the problem.
For bonus points, show how they did it imperfectly, messily, or that it took them a few tries, and it was still helpful. This helps bring the teaching to earth, and lets us learn through their experience.
Thing Four: Give us a very tiny step to get started.
Don’t give us a huge exercise that will take hours. Remember, it’s just a piece of content. Do not attempt to make it a replacement for a full coaching/healing/support session. Don’t try to completely solve the issue for the person reading or watching your content.
Just give us a very simple two or three steps that can be done in a few minutes to start to get our arms around the topic.
My invitation to you: 15 minute messy first draft.
These four things? You already know them because you’ve already helped a client (or practice client, or student client) with them.
Starting right now, give yourself ten to fifteen minutes to create a very messy draft of these four things. Just walk through them.
You can record yourself talking about them and get it transcribed if that’s easier. Please know that “easier” doesn’t mean cheating, it just means easier.
At the end, you will have something real. Something that has wisdom. Something that is generous and gives to people.
Will it be messy? Yes. Will it be ready to publish? I don’t know, it depends so much on you.
But, what I do know, is that you will have taken a step to help us reweave our culture in diversity, in hearing from many voices, in love.
with love,

P.S. The Content Creation course inside the Learning Community
I know that the four steps above are going to be really helpful to get started. I also know that those four steps might not completely unleash and channel your full creativity and voice in a way that you would really want.
I also know there is all kinds of healing needed to make it feel safe to be powerful and speak up.
We already have the Heart Centered Article Writing module within our Learning Community membership. And, it needs an update.
I’ll be updating it, and teaching the new version live, within the Learning Community. Meaning every member can just attend and participate if they want, at no additional cost.
And, we’ll all be there, so that if a question comes up, or a piece of content needs review a month, two months, six months later… the course won’t be over, because we’ll all still be in the Learning Community, and I’ll still be available to help.
Join us? This is me asking you if you will let us, me, help you to develop your business so that it can financially support you and your life.
There is so much more in there than content creation. This is not a DIY, sink-or-swim, lost-in-the-crowd thing. This is a membership with multiple live calls per week, with healing and love and care, and with proven results over the last eight years, based on 25 years of experience.
