Being a spiritually-oriented kinda guy, the circles I tend to travel in are often full of the advice, spoken with complete confidence, “You have to do the inner work before you can do the outer work.”
“Inner work” means the spiritual work within our inner selves around beliefs, or alignment, or what-have-you.
I want to challenge this. Not to say, of course, that the inner work isn’t important. It is. Critically important. But I think we can get into trouble by privileging the inner game of business, and life, over the outer.
In fact, I think it’s one of the fundamental mistakes in our culture generally.
Here’s what I mean:
I’m curious how this lands with you, and whether this sparked any insights into your own process with making your business work?
With love,

Speaking of the inner and the outer… this course is an approach to sales that is NOT about scripts or hard selling or manipulation or pressure.
But, it is about the integration of the inner connection in our heart to love and service, with deep respect and learning around the outer need for structure and focus in sales.
This course is beautiful. I’ve been teaching it since 2008, and everyone seems to love it, from experienced sales professionals who have become grossed-out with how things are normally done, to people who are completely new to handling a sales conversation.
Starts May 14. Priced at pay-from-the-heart. Join us?
