Today’s Tour and Q&A

Today, at noon eastern, I’ll be holding a live tour and Q&A about our Learning Community. (You can register here. https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/_y9KhOAhQvCNbYG5a0TtTw) And the reason I’m doing it is all about safety.

One of the less appreciated dynamics, and a primary job of marketing and sales, is safety. It’s not attraction.

Please do not create marketing where you are trying to “pull” people in… if you’ve ever felt gross from marketing you’ve received, or really avoidant or stuck in marketing you were trying to create, there’s a large chance that “pulling” was an aspect of that marketing.

It feels gross to be pulled at. And it feels gross to try to pull people in.

It feels so much better to offer something that you know is genuinely helpful for folks, and trust that your best clients are adults that can make good decisions for themselves. Or, if you work with kids, you can rest assured that adults making the choice to hire you are able to make those choices from clarity.

Coming into a complex, nuanced, and comprehensive offering like the Learning Community can feel intimidating… overwhelming… how do you make a choice on whether to join, on whether it’s worthwhile?

I bet your clients face similar choices looking at your offers. Intuition is absolutely a part of it for many people. But I think we’re all familiar with how intuition gets messed with when we’re nervous, when we feel certain kinds of intense pressure or fear.

In thinking about promoting your offers, I invite you to think “safety first.” Meaning, if you start from the assumption that you’re speaking to people who aren’t skeptical, who already cherish your worldview and your values, and they genuinely need the help, then the question is: how do you make it safe for them to step in?

Why are those the people you’re speaking to? I’ll answer that with a question: Why would you bother speaking to anyone else? It’s not that other people can’t listen in, but why spend your life energy and your care speaking to people who don’t cherish you, and are deeply skeptical and need to be convinced?

There are absolutely appropriate times to talk to people like that… but not when you’re presenting your paid offers.

If you feel like you and your business could benefit from this, meaning this kind of approach, as well as deep, detailed support, maybe the Learning Community is for you. I want to make it as safe for you as possible to decide, so I’m going to give a tour and live Q&A, so you can ask me questions directly. This way, you’ll have the clarity to make a good decision about whether to join.

Today, noon-1pm eastern, come let me give you a tour, and support you in getting clear on whether it would be the right help for you or not.

Here’s what one of our members told us:

“Celebrating the happy problem of having made enough of a jump in income last year that my tax advisor is letting me know about other options for money flow next year. Truly, I’m grateful.

“I intend to work throughout my life as long as I can, because I love what I do. I also recognize my limitations and aging, and am humbled by that, wanting to make sure I plan well and swiftly for retirement, or at least for the inevitable slowing down of my body in the coming decades (Divine willing)

“I’m grateful for Mark’s guidance and encouragement over the years. For building a business with care, for the realities of being self-employed and not having “benefits” of a job job, and for taking care of the money that I do make (hiring the help I need bookkeeping, accounting, and where I put money)

“Grateful for this community support!”

If you have questions, and can’t make the call (or even if you can), please ask. I’m here.
