Video Challenge Day Nine- The Wrap-Up

Wow… what a night. But I got it done. I think this is the best one yet- mostly because of who joined me. (If you’re wondering what this is about, check out Day One.)

Enjoy! And thank you everyone for your support and love. I’d write a little more but… well, just watch it and see.

Oh… and make sure you watch the end. There’s a special bit in there, inspired by Natalie Peluso.

Spread the love

      1. It looks like teeth to me. Poor little guy!

THAT WAS AWESOME. Thank you for inspiring me to follow your lead. Thank you for being so incredibly real and vulnerable and teachable through this new thing.

        You’re always a hero for me. <3

  1. Every single one of your videos was a joy in it’s own way. But this may be the best in the bunch. Possibly because my heart flutters madly when I see loving fathers with their sons.

Thanks for showing so many facets of yourself in these videos, Mark. And give David’s little head a kiss from me, too.

  2. Grab your coat grab your hat
Leave your worries on the doorstep
    Just direct your feet

Watching your progression over these last nine days has been really inspiring. Progress is made by taking action, no matter how small, which you have shown to us all.

See you on the “sunny side of the street” Mark.

  3. Congratulations! this is wonderful – it’s the most YOU we’ve seen because you allowed it to be so relaxed and free and real.

That may not always be the best thing (for instance, if you’re delivering heavy content) to do it with your son on your lap. But to give us a peek into your life is really fun, and a wonderful gift.

  4. This video made me really happy.

I second Andy’s appreciation for the relaxed realness of the video.

I’m left with a huge smile on my face & gratitude to you for the video challenge. I’ve really enjoyed seeing each video (I even linked to one in my Friday Menagerie post this week).

Looking forward to seeing more videos from you and wishing your son a swift return to wellness!

    1. The funny thing is, Marissa, that I felt I had to go through the whole nine days to get to this level of relaxation and connectedness. It’s kinda like someone needing to practice the scales before they can do improv jazz… And thank you for the link! Honored!

  5. WOW!! I loved every video. It’s incredible how quickly you became relaxed and confident!

Your little guy is beautiful and this video in particular is just heart warming.

Here’s to a good night’s sleep for all of you.

  6. Hi from Erin (she’s four, folks), who’s been watching Day 6 to 9 with me this morning.

This was her favourite. Although she did like the cat called Kira.

And that’s a message from Erin. Significantly, it has an e in it.

Actually, a couple of days ago, I was stunned to realise that she had actually just written her name by herself for the first time. Except that she typed it.

Isn’t that just a bit freaky?

  7. I adore your gorgeous little boy!

You’ve totally captured what I was going to say in your comment to Marissa – you’ve put in the hours of “awkward time” just like a musician does – and now look! You’re so relaxed and at ease. πŸ™‚

And I’m incredibly touched by your Fearless Karaoke shout-out – the thought that my crazy little video has inspired such a sweet moment of singing from you makes me feel very humble indeed.

    More more more please!!

    1. That was a crazy little video- and definitely inspiring. Thank you, Natalie. If you ask for more, there will be more. How can I turn you down? Thank you for your kind words. Totally jazzed about this.

      When’s the next fearless karaoke?

      1. Well I may just use this opportunity to announce that I’m planning a Fearless Karaoke #2 for Thanksgiving. And there will be much divatastic raising money for children this time round. Super excited :0

  8. Mark:

It’s been a delight to see you go from stiff and unsure of yourself to relaxed enough to sing…what a great example of transparency. We could all learn a lot about ourselves from taking the challenge…nothing like seeing yourself on camera to root out those insecurities.

    Thank you!

    1. I’ll tell ya, it’s been a journey. And I knew if I didn’t post it to the blog, I wouldn’t get the value out of it- and it’s so true.

  9. Mark- I am extroardinarily humbled and inspired by this series. You show so many facets of yourself and your teachings and there isn’t one day that I haven’t learnt something from (I more or less watched them in one go). But my biggest learning is that you did it- you did it. You went ahead and did it. I tried to join your challenge but got stuck (again). I wanted to do video and did in fact post one imperfect video (and as a perfectionist I am proud of the “not perfect” bit). But I got stuck with a familiar pattern of not being able to ask for the help I need in the way that people can hear. Blah…blah…
So, I will pick myself and make a new challenge. That for the next 2 weeks I will do one action every day to further getting the help I need- however painful and however much I don’t want to do it.
Wow-amazing- making that public commitment fills me with a racing heart and my demons just popping up right in front of me…..
(later)… so I tapped (EFT) and took those feelings to Remembrance….
NOW I am ready to do my Challenge.
Thank you Mark more than I can say for being a channel for such deep teachings.
