I've Got This Great Blog Post, But I Need More Integration Time…

I started writing this great blog post about competition, and twins, and I thought I was finally returning to a business-head space, and my brain just can’t get to it.

I’m needing another day (at least!) of adoption integration time. I know there’s been a lot of personal posts lately, and not much business content. But, as you know if you’ve been following this, there’s been a LOT going on with my personal life with this adoption of the little guys.

No worries- I will return to business blogging- perhaps even later this week. But, for the moment, I’d like to offer this ponder to you:

– Are you trying to “get to” work, but really something else is in the way? Maybe that “something else” needs your heart and attention before work will open for you.

The spiritual teaching is that Divine is creating the entire Reality anew in every moment. And so, any path that you are on can be changed completely from moment to moment. A lot of business depends on consistency, and consistency is definitely a Divine quality. But, you can’t be so attached to consistency that you lose the shifting miracles right in front of you.

I’ve learned to trust this process (most days.) But, right now, take a moment and see what’s truly alive. What would happen to your day if you gave attention to what was truly alive for you? Do it just for the next day, hour, 15 minutes, and let me know what you find out.

Spread the love

  1. I can definitely relate to the sentiment here. I’ve been using my usual tactic of getting active to spur on new energy when I’m feeling low (e.g. trying to get work done) and finding that my usual tactics are failing.

It took letting myself go the other way, to stop everything that I could and allow myself to come to a complete rest, to find my energy again and re-establish a new pace for myself.

Feeling very connected to your post today!

  2. Some days there are just more important things to do than work. And some of us are lucky enough to be able to just let it go and still be able to put food on the table. Enjoy the kids. They grow pretty fast.

  3. @James- Really validating for me that the post resonated so strongly for you. Thank you! I’m in the business of trusting my heart, and it can still be hard to do at times.

@JoVE- Some days there are. Yesterday was one of those days. And yeah- just the four weeks they’ve been in NICU, the changes those boys have gone through are unbelievable. Blink. Blink. Time for college…
