Morgan Rich recently posted “What Do I Do with My Dog’s Poop?” Being the dog lover and trainer that I am, my ears perked and my tail rose. What a great headline. It was a great metaphor, of course, for an aha! moment about understanding clients’ needs, so I didn’t get to join in on a canine convo.
Nevertheless, it did take me to the notion of scooping, which I’ve done to the tune of tons, I’m sure. Then I moved on to another kind of scooping, the kind that happens in a newsroom. You know, where the reporter gets some inside info that no other station knows about yet. Well, you and I are in the same newsroom right now and I just scooped a story . . .
