The Perfect Storm of Projects

We had the perfect storm this past week. Three major creative projects with the exact same deadlines showed up.

Project #1: Opening the Moneyflow

The January to June course ended in June of all months (who’d-a-thunk?), and so the next program started this week.

Because we have systems and a team in place, I wasn’t imagining it was going to take a huge amount of effort to make it effort.

Still, there are a certain number of creative tasks to attend to so people feel cared-for, among them processing Business Assessments.

Project #2: Website Redesign

Our old website was kinda like a beach shack that you move into, realize it needs to be a bit bigger, so add on a room. Then you add on another room. Then buy a shed, and attach it where ever it fits. Then you… you get the picture.

Our site wasn’t representing the values we were living in the world, so a team came together to make it amazing. And they did it!

The launch was this past weekend. We now have a new site! Woo-hoo!

Project #3: Invitation from True Purpose Institute

The True Purpose Institute invited us to offer a heart-centered sales training to their community. The trouble was we had already put off this partnership for months and months because our calendars weren’t matching up.

Then they finally did. Yup, you guessed it. The whole thing had to roll out… the beginning of this week.

Weathering the Storm

Living a heart-centered business life means not working 80 hours a week. It means caring for your family. It means slowing down.

And yet sometimes we need to push. Sometimes the harvest comes in and you gotta get out there and harvest it. Even in nature there are times of ease and times of push.

This was push for us. Later this summer I get some ease. But for right now, I want to encourage you to celebrate with us our pushes. Because what’s been harvested is beautiful.

Are you allowing yourself to push only when you really need to?

The Goodies

Celebrating the Team

Here’s the team that put the website together. And several of them participated on the other two projects as well. The whole team would be delighted if you went to the link and let us know what you thought of the site. They’d love to hear from you after all their hard work. 🙂

The Sacred Selling Learning Series

Tim Kelley, who founded the True Purpose Institute, thought it would be a great idea to mingle the True Purpose and Heart of Business communities. So we did. You are welcome to partake of the training we’ve created for their community. For our communities!

It’s based on the fantastically popular and effective live seminar training The Sacred Moment, in case you couldn’t be there live this past spring.

  1. Hi Mark/Susan,

Congrats on your new visual look. As our businesses grow and change, our visual identity needs to as well. Otherwise, you’re left sporting yesterday’s outfits. Kinda like wearing the same clothes you wore in high school at 40.

I’m a long time graphic designer and recently redid my own logo, bus cards, letterhead (so sexy!), and am in the process of redoing the web site. It feels wonderful to get the business insides and outsides working in unison. Must feel good to have a design that reflects how your business feels to you and others.

I’ve got Tim Kelley’s book so congrats on that seminar. Had bought your home study on Sacred Selling, so I’m sure his audience will love it.

    Enjoy the waves of adventure!

    G.

  2. Getting used to the new site. Kind of like going home and finding out your parents remodeled and things are in new places, or given away.

    On the new series

    1. Hi Mary- I know, it’s very different, isn’t it? And yes- Tim rocks the house. So glad to have finally connected with him.
