[Video] Facebook advertising with integrity done easy.

A topic that comes up repeatedly as a way of promoting your business is social media advertising. However, for many solopreneurs or microbusinesses, several things are missing.

One thing is just the budget! To make more traditional so-called “funnel” based advertising work, it takes a LOT of money, experimentation, and commitment. Often weeks or months to get it set up, thousands of dollars (or more), all without knowing if it’s even going to work until you see it through to the end.

So that’s bad enough, but another thing that gets in the way is integrity. Well, let’s not say that integrity is what’s in the way. Often funnel-based marketing can be lacking integrity. It doesn’t have to, but the time-pressure to try and get a sale quickly can lead to some questionable choices, marketing-wise. (See my Don’t Buy Now! free PDF on manipulative sales tactics.)

Thankfully, my colleague and friend George Kao has a wonderful, simple, non-pressured approach to Facebook advertising, that is not expensive, and can be effective. And it’s absolutely in alignment with the Heart of Business approach to marketing, which is why I love it so much.

George and I spend about 25 minutes or so talking on this topic, so please, join us.

You can find George on his website GeorgeKao.com and on Facebook at GeorgeKaoCommunity

He’s friendly, generous, and no hard sales pitch associated, so feel free to lean into his resources.

Now, I’m curious. What did you get out of our conversation? What’s your experience?

Peace,

  1. Yes, Fabulous! Thank you so very much, Mark and George!! Perfecto!! It’s like we were having a 3-way conversation while I watched your video! You brought up exactly the Qs I had, when I had them. Like you were speaking directly to my weird experience …

I got sucked into one of those thingies last summer where they’re promising to teach you how to do FB ads and use funnels, etc. The dude offering this pkg *sounded* decent, credible and *seemed* to bring lots of integrity. The process he described *sounded* doable, even for non-techies like me. *Sounded* to me like he (and the community) provided the needed techie support to succeed. He *wanted* success stories from us so he could refine his process and make it work even better. Claimed to be pretty non-techie, himself. Made it all sound simple and doable. Promised he’d take us all through it, step by step. Nope. Not exactly.

Although I don’t believe this dude is an out-and-out scammer, he does NOT make sure that those who sign up for his programs are a good fit for what he’s offering and what he’s wanting out of it. He sort of offers a money-back ‘guarantee,’ however, you can’t really get your money back.

  2. P.S. Your conversation showed that (no surprise) there are ways to do the same thing in ways that feel much more authentic, easier, affordably and with integrity. Thank you both!

  3. Your timing is perfect. I’m planning on launching my new Facebook business page tomorrow (Friday). Y’all just saved me a bunch of money by telling me I can figure out how to do the advertising myself by experimenting as I go. I appreciate the many valuable suggestions and am going to be bookmarking this video. Last but not least, it’s a real pleasure to have two of the people who’ve made it possible for me to stick with my intention to launch an online business despite all the intimidation and hype out there, together in one pithy little video. So thank you!

  4. Love this video, and especially love George’s thoughts about text only posts and seeing FB advertising as a ministry. This totally shifted my perspective! I’ve been feeling for a while now that my ‘job’ online with content creation revolves around being a ‘lighthouse’ whose goal is simply to let people know ‘there is another way’ amidst all the hypey, salesy stuff going on out there!
I’m super excited to try these tests out, especially since I just launched my new biz page and I really want to be sure to attract exactly the right audience who can truly benefit from what I have to share.
    Thank you both xx
