Sufi blessing for 2025

2025 just began, and I hear many saying “good riddance!” to 2024. It’s also the 1st of the month of Rajab, 1446 in the Islamic calendar, and the 1st of Tevet, 5785 in the Jewish calendar.

It is remarkable to me that all three calendars have the 1st of their respect months on the same day. I hope that is a sign of Unity, of coming together, of much-needed healing.

At the same time, although our calendars help us relate to the passage of time, they aren’t absolute. It’s not New Year’s Day for everyone, and there are calendars that don’t have any correspondence with these three months of January, Rajab and Tevet.

This diversity of life on our planet is such a blessing to each of us. In the Quran 49:13, “We created you… and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other (not that you may despise each other)…”

And, of course, there’s the spiritual truth that every little speck of creation is being recreated every moment, every moment.

So, whether this is New Year’s day for you or not, I hope that this Sufi blessing nourishes and carries you forward.

And I sincerely hope that we do an even better job of nourishing, caring for, and protecting each other in this coming year. May there be a surprising abundance of blessings.

I offer you, in this short video, a Sufi blessing upon you, your loved ones, and your business. See you in a week!

With love,
