The Tyranny of Marketing

The never-ending tyranny of marketing!

That’s how clients have described the need to constantly engage in marketing just to remain afloat. And yes, it can absolutely feel like this, especially in the early stages of business building.

It doesn’t always have to feel this way, so two things are needed. One is a new relationship with marketing that doesn’t compromise your heart or integrity.

The other is understanding what’s actually needed to develop the business to a point where marketing isn’t the loudest, most-constant drumbeat of your business’ rhythm.

Here’s a video, around 7 minutes. Take it in!

What’s your experience with marketing? And how far along are you in developing your business? I want to hear!

Two More Things (Price increase and Mark’s Spiritual Teachings)

Thing One: The Price Increase

The first thing is a reminder about the change in pricing that is happening at the end of the month for our two core programs. You can read about why we’re increasing the price here.

There are a few people who know they want to take one of the courses at a later date, and want to lock in the current pricing now. We have allowed that, but only under certain conditions that we’re not making exceptions for.

There are a few people who know they want to take one of the courses at a later date, and want to lock in the current pricing now. We have allowed that, but only under certain conditions that we’re not making exceptions for.

1. The course fee must be paid in full at this time.

Part of why we’re changing the price is because the current pricing is not sustainable for us. To offer the lower price to someone who is not yet actively engaged in the course and the increased administrative burden of tracking payments is too much for us.

2. You have to be completely certain you want to take the course.

We do not want to take your payment because you want to lock in the price while you’re still deciding if you want to take it, and then if you decide no, ask for a refund later.

This offer is if you either have overwhelming engagements over the next few months, and want to start as soon as your schedule is open, or are currently engaged in the first course, F1: Clients & Money, and want to go right into F2: Expand Your Reach, when the first one ends.

If you are interested and can meet the two conditions above, email us and tell us your situation.
And, of course, you’re welcome to just enroll to start in June!

Here’s a summary of the two programs:

Thing Two: Mark’s Spiritual Teachings

As a designated Master Teacher in his Sufi lineage, and one who has earned his Masters of Divinity, Mark leads the Spiritual Development Program, and also shares other spiritual teachings in a business context.

He recently started a video series diving into much more difficult spiritual topics, and released the first video on “God Fearing.” The videos are surprising, profound, and nourishing.

If this is, or might be, an interest of yours, you can check the first video out here: The Sufi Channel.

  1. Hi Mark, this was very helpful, thank you for helping us with perspective readjusting. In many many if your talks and literature, the emphasis is often geared towards service providers. I would really like to hear such topics as this addressed towards product providers. I think there is a difference in approach and how these principles play out though I am not sure how. Thank you!

    1. Hi Kusuma- thanks for asking the question! Our speciality is working with service providers, and I get how you would want to apply it to your own industry.

  2. Hi Mark , Here’s what I have adopted, “marketing is the process of getting your qualified buyers to know you, like you and trust you. When the above criteria are met, sales are guaranteed to follow.” and thank you.
