Moving from providing 1:1 services to leading small groups is a common, and really effective way, to reach more people, to leverage your time, increase your income, and make your work more accessible, since groups tend to be less expensive than 1:1 work.
However, you can trip up, like a practitioner who created a group, then many of their 1:1 clients left individual work for the group, but because they were used to 1:1, kept asking for the kind of care an individual client gets.
The practitioner ended up with less income, but more work… ugh!
Let’s take a look at what happened, and how to correct that.
Introducing group work can be really helpful to your clients and to your business. Do it right, so you don’t get the double-whammy of losing income and getting slammed.
