There comes a point in every business, as it develops, where you must embrace, strengthen, learn to love, the ability to say “no.”
But, you don’t want to do that too much when you’re just starting out. Saying “Yes” almost indiscriminately (I said “almost”) is important, and it’s important to know when, and how, to switch to saying “No!” way more often.
I explain it here, in this short video:
What’s your experience with saying “No!” in business? Is it time for you to embrace that, or not yet?
With love,
Mark Silver, M.Div.
Heart of Business, Inc.
Every act of business can be an act of love.
Virtual Retreat Oct. 22
Although the doing of something, saying the simple word “No.” instead of “Yes” is often easy, the internal strength and connection to be able to do that can be hard to access.
Whether you’re needing to strength your “No” or your “Know” or any other wordplays that reveal truth, I invite you to join us for the Virtual Retreat on October 22, so you can go deep in your heart, and be nourished.
Clear out the junk, get clear guidance, find the love and clarity within your business. While being nourished, gently. That’s what a Heart of Business Virtual Retreat is all about.
Pay from the heart pricing. Block off the whole day, or just do a piece of it.

I totally agree with you Mark. At the early stage of my business, I’d almost no choice than to say yes, especially when I had few clients and I didn’t want to lose them. However, as my business grew, moments came when I had to say NO, especially to some ridiculous offers.
This is insightful thank you.
You’re completely right Mark.
Learning when to say NO to some clients when it’s not favorable to the entrepreneur is very important. It commands respect while saving one a lot of avoidable hassles. But honestly, saying NO doesn’t come easy for a struggling entrepreneur.
It’s easier to say NO when one is a bit more established with a decent number of clients but all the same, over the years as an entrepreneur i have learned that sometimes, NO is all you really have to say.
